The Color Wheel represents the progression to colors from light to dark. The basis of the wheel are the three Primary colors: Yellow, Red and Blue. From these three colors, every other color that we see in the world are derived- excluding White and tones of Black.
For example, to create Pink, you mix Red and White. Traditionally, the Primary Colors are followed by the Secondary Colors- Orange (the combination of Yellow and Red), Purple (the combination of Red and Blue) and Green (the combination of Blue and Yellow). From these, derivatives of Yellow-Orange, Orange-Red, Red-Purple, Purple-Blue, Blue-Green and Green-Yellow are developed to create the Tertiary Colors.
